Verbatim reviews across RIG, Pro 6, VEE, R09 and R08 — what buyers praise, the four complaints that repeat, and our answer to each.
FITAOS Reviews: What Buyers Say About Five Models
Most brand review pages are a highlight reel: five stars, big quotes, no context. This one is built differently. We went through the full review archive for our store — every published review with text — and built this article under three rules.
Rule one: verbatim only. Every quote below is copied word for word from a published review, with the reviewer's name and the date. Nothing is paraphrased or cleaned up, including the typos.
Rule two: we removed things on purpose. We excluded every review that claims a medical result or calls a reading "accurate" compared to a glucose meter or blood pressure cuff — 76 reviews mention those words, and none of them are quoted here, because a customer's optimism is not a specification. We also excluded template-looking submissions and every review that appears word-for-word under more than one product. What's left is 323 reviews across the five models below; 292 of them are verified purchases.
Rule three: the complaints stay in. Four problems come up again and again. We quote them, sort out what kind of problem each one is, and answer where we actually have an answer. One of them — a water-resistance rating our own product page used to state inconsistently — we found and fixed while researching this article.
What Buyers Mention Most, Across All Five
Before the quotes, the pattern. We counted which topics appear in reviews for each model. Two things stand out: the app is the most-mentioned topic on four of five models, and battery life never drops below 12%. Nobody buys a health wearable to charge it daily.
| Share of reviews that mention… | RIG | Pro 6 | VEE | R09 ring | R08 ring |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| App, pairing & sync | 38% | 21% | 26% | 19% | 22% |
| Battery & charging | 24% | 15% | 12% | 16% | 16% |
| Screen & readability | 22% | 13% | 16% | 24% | 22% |
| Look & gifting | 22% | 16% | 26% | 19% | 25% |
| Sleep tracking | 33% | 7% | 12% | 10% | 9% |
FITAOS RIG: the One With the Most to Say
RIG has the lowest average rating of the five — 4.60 against 4.7-plus elsewhere — and we're still leading with it, for a simple reason: its reviews are the longest and most specific in the archive. The median RIG review is 179 characters; on our best-selling ring it's 118. Long reviews come from people who lived with the thing.
"This watch is amazing for the price. The heart health features are top notch. Having a pacemaker and being 85, this watch with the HRV, sleep, HR, and EKG features helps me monitor and improve my health."
Thomas Baird · April 2023 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
"Great watch. I expected the watch to sacrifice quality because of the price. I was wrong. The watch and Veepoo app work great. I bought the watch for the ECG which most fitness watches do not have unless you want to pay $300-$500 bucks. Bottom line this watch is well worth it."
Orlando Ruiz · January 2023 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
That price comparison is the honest core of RIG's appeal: an ECG recording is rare at this price, and buyers notice. The most recent long review in the file, from February 2026, is about something more mundane and more useful:
"Setup super easy and first week of tracking all measurements lasted 5 days before battery recharge required. For the second week, I will try reducing number of parameters being tracked to see how long battery lasts."
Walter S. · February 2026 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
Note what Walter did: he treated battery life as a setting, not a spec. Tracking everything, all sensors on, got him five days. That matches the theme counts — battery comes up in 24% of RIG reviews, usually as a surprise in the good direction.
FITAOS RIG
The model buyers write the most about. ECG recordings, blood oxygen and heart rate trends, sleep analysis, large color display. IP68 water resistance. No subscription, ever.
View RIGFITAOS Pro 6: Where the $79 Doubt Goes to Die
Pro 6's reviews contain the best single sentence in the archive about buying a health watch online — the suspicion, then the reversal:
"Honestly after I ordered it I started thinking $79.00 I might have just thrown some money away. Did not expect for that price it would turn out so nice. It’s easy to use and has a quality look to it. Great job 👏"
Robert F. · April 2025 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
The other thing buyers keep coming back to is how readable it is day to day, and how long it goes between charges:
"I Love this watch, it gives me so many real time updates on my general health, it is such an easy screen to read and access to information is excellent! Another big plus is the battery life, 10 days plus absolutely fabulous! Keith Morse"
Keith M. · April 2025 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
Keith signed his full name inside his review, which tells you something about how he writes reviews. Ten-plus days matches the pattern: battery life on these watches depends heavily on how many features you leave running — Walter's five days on RIG versus Keith's ten on Pro 6 is the same effect, not a contradiction.
Pro 6 in one line: the full-size smartwatch for someone who wants ECG and daily health trends on a big, bright screen, and doesn't want to think about it again for a week and a half.
FITAOS VEE: the Basics, Done Well, for $59.90
VEE is the cheapest of the five and the only one with zero low-star reviews in the archive. Its reviews are also shorter and older than the others', so we'll let them say what they say and no more.
"I bought two, one for my husband and one for me. My husband didn't know how many steps he did in a day until he got his watch. He also likes the sleep tracker, he has been sleeping better"
Oliver Wright · January 2023 · ★★★★★
"I'm able to see the time without my reading glasses! That's important to me because I work in construction and don't always have my glasses with me."
Abigail Green · August 2023 · ★★★★★
Abigail's review is the screen-readability theme in one sentence, and it's the reason readability sits at 16% of VEE reviews despite the model's age. The quick-setup theme shows up too:
"This watch was a quick set up, download their app and within 5 minutes it was synced and ready to test out. Product is great for the price point. Comfortable on the wrist, very light weight with a large screen that was easy to personalize."
Sophia Jones · April 2023 · ★★★★★
VEE also takes Bluetooth calls and plays music from the wrist. If you're buying a first health watch for someone else — which, going by the gift mentions in 26% of its reviews, a lot of you are — this is the low-regret pick.
FITAOS R08 & R09: Two Rings, Two Different Reasons
Rings are the quiet corner of this store: no notifications, no calls, nothing buzzing. R09's buyers name that directly:
"I like that it does not distract me like a smartwatch with notifications. It is more focused on health tracking."
Amelia Anderson · May 2026 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
"Sleep tracking helped me realize I was not getting enough deep sleep. That alone made it worth it."
Alexander Thomas · May 2026 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
R09 is also the only model here with reviews arriving in 2026 — May and June of this year — which means people are still unboxing it now, and its water-resistance hold up in daily use:
"Water resistance works fine. I have used it while washing hands and swimming in shallow water without problems."
Lucas Lopez · June 2026 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
FITAOS R09
Health trends with zero notifications. Sleep stages, heart rate, blood oxygen, temperature trends, ECG recordings — all day and night, charged in a pocket-sized case.
View R09R08 is the store's best-seller outright — 408 units sold, more than any other product. Its review section is the thinnest of the five for a reason we'll get into below, but the two reviews that survive every filter are solid:
"Charge lasts for ~ 5 days and fully recharges in ~ 1 hr. I'm still getting used to how it tracks different metrics as its different from my fitbit, but it integrates with apple health which is a plus."
Abraham W. · November 2025 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
"Love this ring it makes setting goals easy and monitoring my health fun. From running to sleeping I know exactly what I do daily!"
Jose M Speede · January 2026 · ★★★★★ · verified purchase
R08's buyers actually spend their review space on three questions: how do I charge it, how do I get the app on my phone, and how does it work with the rest of my day. Those belong in a FAQ, so that's where we put them — at the bottom of this page, with real answers.
The Four Complaints That Keep Coming Back
Thirty-six reviews in the archive sit between one and three stars. Nobody from our team has replied to them — that's a fact we're not proud of, and it's the reason this section exists instead of a testimonial wall. Here are the four that repeat, sorted by what kind of problem each one actually is.
1. "The app didn't work with my phone."
"App is not compatible with my phone or tablet."
Willaim Scrivener · April 2026 · ★ · verified purchase
"it took me about 5 rounds of support emails to finally get the app to work on my fairly new Android phone."
Leland N. · April 2026 · ★★★ · verified purchase
What kind of problem this is: ours. Five rounds of emails is not a support experience, it's an obstacle course, and a return request that goes unanswered is worse. We're not going to argue with either review.
What we can tell you now: the companion app is free, with no subscription attached to any feature. If it won't install or pair on your phone, that is a return, not a troubleshooting project — the 30-day return window exists for exactly this. Support requests go through our contact page, and one person owns them end to end.
2. "The website and the manual disagree about water resistance."
Leland's review continues: "There is also a disconnect between the website IP68 claim and small print in the back of the manual saying IP67." He was right, and it was worse than he knew — our own product page said both. The spec list carried IP67 while another section of the same page said IP68. While researching this article we unified every mention on the page to IP68, which is the correct rating. The printed manual still carries the old figure, and correcting that is on us. Until new manuals ship, the product page is the number to trust.
3. "The ring is a little too small."
"I love the ring, it’s just a little too small for the finger I wanted to put it on."
Triscia R. · June 2026 · ★★★ · verified purchase
What kind of problem this is: preventable, and partly ours for not saying it loudly enough. Ring sizes are chosen as variants on the product page, and the single most common mistake is ordering your usual ring size for a finger you don't usually ring — index and middle fingers run larger than ring fingers. Wrap a soft tape around the exact finger, and if you're between sizes, go up. Triscia loved the ring; she just couldn't wear it where she wanted to, which is a sizing problem, not a product one.
4. "I'm not sure the numbers are right."
"The features are nice, not sure it it’s accurate"
Thelma B. · April 2026 · ★★★ · verified purchase
What kind of problem this is: an expectation gap, and the most important one on this page. A wrist-worn wearable reads optical signals from your skin and turns them into trends. Those trends are for watching direction and patterns — how your sleep moves, how your resting heart rate drifts across weeks. They are not clinical numbers, and no wrist device at this price is a substitute for the equipment at a clinic. That's not a disclaimer we bolted on for lawyers; it's the actual design of the product, and the reason we say trends instead of readings you can act on everywhere on this site.
How to Read a Review (Including Ours)
A few honest notes on the data behind this page. Of the 323 reviews quoted or counted here, 292 are marked as verified purchases. The reviews span 2021 to mid-2026, and we've dated every quote so you can weigh an old review accordingly — Walter's battery number from February 2026 is worth more than a 2022 impression of an older firmware.
We also removed reviews before quoting them: template-looking submissions posted in batches, and 51 groups of text that appear under more than one product. If a review you see on a product page matches one on another product word for word, discount it — we're working through the archive and retiring those.
Fitaos devices are wellness products, not medical devices. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and nothing in any review quoted here — including the positive ones — should be read as a claim otherwise.

Questions R08 and R09 Buyers Actually Ask
How do I charge the ring?
R09 ships with a charging case that doubles as a portable battery — one buyer described swapping rings when one runs low. R08 tops up from its dock in about an hour; as Abraham's review above says, a full charge lasts around five days with everything on.
How do I get the app on my phone?
Every model pairs with the free companion app — search for it in your phone's app store or scan the code in the box. There's no account fee and no subscription; the insights stay free for the life of the device. If the app won't install on your phone, contact us through the contact page — and remember the 30-day return window covers compatibility problems.
Why won't the ECG recording start sometimes?
One buyer's five-star review includes the answer to his own question: "the ECG function sometimes doesn’t work if you have dry skin." The recording needs a steady fingertip contact on the side electrode for its full run. If your hands are dry, breathe on your fingertips or use a tiny bit of lotion, then start again.
Which ring size should I order?
Sizes are chosen on the product page as variants. Wrap a soft tape around the finger you'll actually wear the ring on — not your usual ring finger — and if you're between two sizes, take the larger. That single habit would have prevented the only sizing complaint in the archive.
How long does the battery really last?
It depends on how much you ask the device to do. Everything on, all day: about five days (Walter's RIG week). A leaner setup: ten days and more (Keith's Pro 6). Rings run longer between charges than watches because there's no screen to feed. Charge time is roughly an hour across all five.
Fitaos devices are wellness products, not medical devices. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition, and the trends they show are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Review quotes on this page are reproduced verbatim from our published review archive; they reflect individual experiences and are not product claims. Review counts and theme percentages in this article are based on the 323 published text reviews for the five models named, as of October 2026.
